Drawing from Robert Anton Wilson’s Prometheus Rising, we dig into Timothy Leary’s Eight Circuit Model of Consciousness. The first four circuits (bio-survival, emotional-territorial, semantic, and socio-sexual) are present in all humans.

Most human behavior, individually and collectively, is unconsciously driven by these circuits. Understanding them allows us to explain and predict behavior in politics, personality, and response to the environment.

Much of this episode relates to the earlier Medusa/Mother Complex and Father Wound/Hero’s Journey episodes, though from a more biological level. This gives a more neurological basis for the metaphoric ideas of Carl Jung.
