This policy explains what Social Media Seeds, LLC, doing business as Ruwando (“Ruwando,” “I,” “we”), collects when you use ruwando.com, and what happens to it. Questions: hello@ruwando.com.
What I collect
- What you give me. Your name, email address and anything you type into a form: subscribing, the “email me the link” box on episode pages, the contact form, and coaching or retreat applications.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Stripe. I receive your name, email and order details. I never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and, if tracking is allowed, events sent through the Meta (Facebook) pixel such as page views, how far you scroll, clicks on application buttons, and how long you listen to an episode.
- Saved in your browser. Episode pages store, in your browser only, where you stopped listening, how long you have listened, and your cookie choice. This stays on your device unless you submit the “email me the link” form.
How I use it
- To send what you asked for: episode links, essays, replies, course access.
- To review applications and run coaching, courses and events.
- To measure which ads and pages work, and to show my ads to people who might want them.
- To keep the site secure and working.
I do not sell your personal information.
Who else sees it
- Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Meta Platforms receives pixel events when tracking is allowed (see below).
- Substack delivers some newsletters and hosts the podcast archive; its own policy applies once you use it.
- Other service providers that help me run the business, and authorities when the law requires it.
Cookies, the Meta pixel and your choice
The Meta pixel measures ad performance. For visitors in Europe it stays off until you press Accept on the notice shown on episode pages. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, I treat it as a decline. You can change your mind at any time:
How long I keep it
Email and application records are kept while they are useful to you and me, then deleted on request or when no longer needed. Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU and UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, or withdraw consent. Email hello@ruwando.com and I will respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is for adults. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
International transfers
My providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
